What is the value of the BraiNet®?

In the ICU (Adult/Pediatric/Neonatal)?

1. We have 9 BraiNet® sizes available to fit ANY size head from 25cm circumference for the neonatal ICU (NICU) to 62cm for the adult ICU patients.  The non-latex elastic straps and chin strap comfortably stretch to the patients head size while maintaining accurate inter-electrode distances.
2. BraiNet® templates eliminate the need to measure the head and mark electrode placement locations
3. Saves valuable technologist time – measuring/marking takes approximately 15 minutes – attaching the BraiNet® correctly takes approximately 1 minute!
4. No need for collodion or special ventilation
5. No need for removal with acetone or collodion remover
6. Because BraiNet® templates are color-coded, it is easy for medical professionals caring for the patient to attach the BraiNet®/electrodes for the “stat” study

In the ER or ANY hospital location?

4. Use ANY EEG electrode – disks, subdermal needles, subdermal wires
5. Keep it on! – We designed the BraiNet® to be attached in the ER and if the patient is admitted – the BraiNet® AND electrodes can stay in place during transport to the ICU and can safely stay on the patient for days to weeks during ICU/cEEG monitoring.  This option eliminates the need to unhook/rehook the electrodes – a huge timesaver!
6. Completely disposable – a must in the ER/ICU setting – eliminates the need to clean/sterilize – eliminates the potential for cross infection

1. Ideal for EEG set-up – saves valuable set-up time for the technologist or the assistant doing the set-up

3. No need for collodion or special ventilation – EC2 Cream (Grass-Astromed) is a good collodion alternative
4. No need for removal with acetone or collodion remover – EC2 is water-soluble
5. The BraiNet® template helps hold the electrodes in place for these overnight or multi-day studies
6. Because it is “one patient use” the patient can disconnect themselves at home by cutting the disposable electrodes – then they can get in the shower to remove the electrodes/BraiNet and discard them.  Patients LOVE this feature.  They can then return the recorder and accessory items to the office/lab.  This feature also eliminates the need to use a “timeslot” in the schedule for a staff member to remove electrodes.

How does the BraiNet® differ from other EEG headgear?

1. The patented FDA cleared BraiNet® is a unique solution for EEG set-up.  It is the only color-coded system designed for EEG set-up in ANY setting: Any ICU, ER or patient room, the neurodiagnostic, sleep or neurofeedback lab, the physicians office, or the patient’s home
2. The BraiNet® is not a solid cap – the adjustable straps can work around scalp wounds and indwelling monitors – i.e.: ICP monitors, craniotomy incisions, endotracheal tubes, tracheotomies and cervical colors.
3. The BraiNet® is constructed with non-latex elastic.
4. The color-coded methodology allows for fast/easy/accurate set-up by a credentialed technologist, technologist assistant or other medical professional.
5. The BraiNet® is safe and comfortable for the patient for overnight studies or for long-term studies lasting days to weeks – without skin breakdown.
6. The BraiNet® can be used with ANY EEG electrode - disk, subdermal needle or subdermal wire.
