Anytime:  EEG needs to be available to patients 24 hours per day 7 days per week.  Waiting until the next “work day” to do the EEG is not fast enough for good patient management.  Often, EEG is not available around the clock, 7 days/week and even when there is an “on call tech” the time it takes to get to the hospital and perform the procedure can take several hours.  The BraiNet® makes EEG set up possible for a healthcare professional “on site” to apply the electrodes.

Anywhere:  The BraiNet® is designed to be used for any EEG – the “stat” EEG in the ICU or ER or other area of the hospital as well as for the routine EEG in the Neurodiagnostic Lab or Neurofeedback office.  It is ideal for long-term monitoring and can stay on the patients head for several days – in the epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) – in any intensive care unit (ICU/NICU/PICU/NNCU) or for ambulatory EEG (AEEG).  Our NEW Sleep BraiNet® is perfect for overnight polysomnography in the sleep lab or in the patient's home.

Any Age:  We offer a BraiNet® model for patients of ANY age – from neonates to large adults.  The Baby Brainet®  allows the same "safe, fast, accurate and easy" EEG set up for neonates as for the adult and pediatric population.  Five Baby BraiNet® sizes are available (25-46 cm head circumference) ensuring correct fit for the rapidly changing head size in neonates.  Our 10/20 BraiNet® allows a full 10/20 electrode placement.  The original BraiNet® model - based on 10/20 placement, but with fewer electrode placement locations, is still available as well.  This modified placement works well for "stat" EEGs as well as ICU/cEEG and EEG. Our “new” Sleep BraiNet® follows the latest AASM electrode placement guidelines and is the set-up solution for polysomnography in the sleep lab or in the patient's home.

Safe:   Infection control is a major concern in every hospital and even in the outpatient setting.  Infections from drug resistant bacteria are on the rise and can be transmitted from patient to patient on equipment and reusable supplies.  These are serious infections that do not respond to antibiotics.  By using fully disposable products, we eliminate the risk of transmitting infections from EEG supplies.  All BraiNet® Templates are FDA cleared as disposable/single patient use.  BraiNet matching disk and needle electrodes are disposable as well.  Why take the risk?  An additional safety feature - all BraiNets® are made of latex-free elastic. 

NO Collodion necessary:  Electrodes can be securely attached to the patient’s scalp and BraiNet® with EC2, a good, safe substitute for collodion, the hazardous, extremely flammable liquid often used to attach electrodes.  (See MSDS/Material Safety Data Sheet)

Fast:  All BraiNet® Templates slip on the head in seconds.  The adjustable chin strap is designed to accommodate a c-collar or ventilation tube without compromising the airway.  The adjustable Velcro connecting strap allows snug but comfortable fit.  The color-coded elastic BraiNet® Template eliminates the need to measure or mark the patients head.

Accurate:  All BraiNet® Templates are based on the 10/20 measurement system.  When using the BraiNet® Template, electrode placement will be symmetrical and consistent every time – regardless of who does the set-up.    Our original BraiNet® and Baby BraiNet® have color-coded electrode placement locations for 13 scalp electrodes.  The matching color-coded electrode packs are conveniently packaged in four packets: LEFT, RIGHT, REF (one reference electrode and one for EKG). 

The 10/20 BraiNet® Template has color-coded electrode placement locations for 21 scalp electrodes.  The matching 10/20 color-coded electrode packs are conveniently packaged in four packets: LEFT, CENTRAL, RIGHT, EXTRA (one reference electrode, one EKG, A1 and A2).

Easy:  Our color-coded BraiNet® method makes it easy to see where the electrodes should be placed - The solid colors are positioned on the left and corresponding striped colors on the right side of the BraiNet®.  The matching color-coded electrodes connect easily to any EEG jackbox - color-coded with our jackbox overlay stickers.  Some EEG equipment manufacturers (i.e., Biologic, Xltek and Grass Astromed) have incorporated BraiNet® colors on their specific jackbox covers.  BraiNet® colors are also the default colors on newly released Persyst software products for electrode artifact recognition. 

The BraiNet® Template can be attached for the “stat” EEG and remain in place (electrodes also) for ICU/cEEG EEG.  This saves valuable technologist time re-applying electrodes.

Easy Clean-up:  The disposable BraiNet® Template is easily removed along with BraiNet® disposable electrodes (soap and water).   All products are disposable, eliminating the need to clean, disinfect, sterilize products = prevents cross-infection and saves valuable technologist time.
